Ohana Demo Day Recap: Surfboards, Stoke, & World Movie Premiere

On June 14th, Stuart, Florida came alive for an unforgettable surf event hosted by Ohana Surf Shop, Ben Gravy & Algorithm Surfboards and none other than the legend himself—Ben Gravy.

The day kicked off with a Algorithm Surfboards Demo Day featuring the latest high-performance small wave models from Algorithm Surfboards.

Local surfers and fans got the chance to test ride boards programmed for speed, control, and creative expression—crafted not by corporations, but by surfers, for surfers. By mid-afternoon, stoke levels hit a new high when Ben Gravy paddled out for a surf session with the crew, bringing his signature energy and positivity to the Florida lineup.

The vibes were unreal—smiles, high-fives, and board swaps all around. Then, as the sun began to dip, and the haircuts were complete we transitioned from surfboards to screen time with the world premiere of Ben Gravy’s new film: Get a Haircut – a story about surfboards, identity, and never quite fitting in.

The Ohana Surf Shop transformed into an open-air movie lounge as surfers, fans, and friends gathered to celebrate the moment. From surfboard testing to movie watching, it was a day that brought the surf community together in the best way possible.
